INTERESTING FACTS:
After the success of the title track this dance track was released as the second single in the fall of 1987. Famous for its cool performance on the Who's That Girl Tour, the single reached #1 in Japan, #2 in Canada and #4 in the UK. In the US it stalled at #2 for three weeks with Michael Jackson's 'Bad' & Tiffany's 'I Think We're Alone Now' stealing the top spot. However, Commotion got the #1 in the Hot Dance / Club Play. The charting of the single in the US would get an important significance: its final week on the chart was Jan. 9, 1988, when it was at #98, down from #97. This gave her a spot on the Billboard chart in 1988, a year in which she had no other singles. Because of that final week, Madonna has been on the Billboard chart every year from 1983 till 2006.

INTERESTING FACTS:
This sixth and last single from Erotica wasn't released in the US or the UK, only in Japan, Australia and some European countries in the end of 1993. It reached #15 in both Japan and Australia.
Because the single wasn't a worldwide release, there was no separate video made for it. Instead director Mark Miceli recorded the live performance of Bye Bye Baby at the Girlie Show in Australia. The performance was all about Cabaret-style gender-bending, as Madonna, Niki and Donna appeared on stage in black suits and top hats, each seducing their pinup girl with a great chair choreography. At the end of the song, the 'boys' explicitly dismissed their women. Madonna also performed Bye Bye Baby on the VMA 1993 as a teaser for her then-upcoming tour.

INTERESTING FACTS:
In this love song Madonna asks her boyfriend to make up his mind, because she's crazy in love with him. The fans were crazy about the song too, because Madonna scored her first US top 10 hit when she released Borderline in 1984. It would also become her first Gold certification. In the UK at first it only got to #56, but after the first album was re-issued in 1985, Borderline re-entered the singles chart in January 1986 and made it to #2 (only to be blocked from #1 by Billy Ocean's 'When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going').

INTERESTING FACTS:
Nellee Hooper had written this song with Björk and then brought it to Madonna, who recorded it because she thought it was 'astonishing'. It eventually inspired the album title and in the spring of 1995 Madonna released it as third single. The trancy sound can be seen as an early preview of Madonna's electronic pop which she used years later on Ray Of Light. To promote the Bedtime Story single, Madonna held a pyjama party with friends and fans. It didn't boast sales though: the single only reached #42 in the US, ending Madonna's record of 32 consecutive top 40 hits. In the UK it got to #4 and in Australia to #5. The only successful charting was in the Hot Dance / Club Play, where it reached #1. Madonna realized that the song was mostly popular with dance audiences and gave a stunning performance of the fantastic Junior's Wet Dream Remix at the 1995 Brit Awards.
